Software installation and configuration service
We are able to offer a fully customised installation and configuration service for your software requirements. Where software installation services are required these can be fully specified by our services engineers and presales team prior to commencement of the work, including any site survey that is required.
Key Service Steps When Attending Site
- Verify condition of all boxes and media.
- Check that no other health and safety risks will pertain to the installation.
- Verify serial numbers match shipping list.
- Remove all installation packaging to a Customer-designated area within the immediate installation location or arrange with the Customer for Customer removal.
- Carry out customised work as specified prior to site visit.
Customer Responsibilities
It is the Customer’s responsibilities to:
- Carefully review this statement of work for the installation services purchased.
- Ensure all data is backed up prior to commencement of the service.
- Ensure that environmental/technical prerequisites have been met.
- Provide the installer with any necessary passwords or other access codes to complete the installation in a timely fashion.
- Other reasonable actions to enable the service to be satisfactorily completed
- Prior to server installations it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure compatibility of all products to be installed has been investigated and confirmed.
Service Exclusions – unless otherwise specified
- This service does not include any cabling (some may be provided with the equipment purchased).
- It does not include any software installation, customisation or configuration, any other moves, changes or additions needed to the racking or installation to create space for the new server(s)
- This service does not include installation of products nor application activity other than as specifically noted.
