Service Overview for peripheral unpack, set-up and install into existing network or computer.

The service includes a quality inspection of the unpacked equipment, new peripheral installation, and connection to an existing network or computer. This service is offered for printers, fax machines and scanners.

Key Service Steps

  • Verify condition of all boxes and components.
  • Verify the availability of Customer-provided physical site and power.
  • Unpack peripheral and any associated components.
  • Verify serial numbers match shipping list.
  • Set-up and connect the peripheral to the customers existing network or computer.
  • Power on system.
  • Enter Customer supplied TCP/IP address (if applicable).
  • Remove all installation packaging to a Customer-designated area within the immediate installation location or arrange with the Customer for Customer removal.

Customer Responsibilities

It is the Customer’s responsibilities to:

  • Carefully review this statement of work for the installation services purchased.
  • Ensure that adequate power outlets and cabling are suitably located, installed and tested prior to the installation.
  • Ensure that environmental/technical prerequisites have been met.
  • Ensure all equipment required for the installation is placed in the immediate area.
  • Designate an area in the same building where the installer should place rubbish.
  • Provide the installer with any necessary configuration information, network passwords etc to complete the installation.
  • Ensure a suitable customer contact is available at all times while engineer is on site.
  • Health and Safety of the engineer while on site.
  • Other reasonable actions to enable the service to be satisfactorily completed.

Service Exclusions

  • This service does not include network cabling (excluding cable from peripheral to network point or computer) or any environmental or power related activities.
  • Connection of peripherals refers to plugging components into the customers existing network or computer and loading Customer supplied drivers . It does not involve configuring the peripherals (unless configuration of a peripheral has been purchased as a service).
  • This service does not include installation of products nor application activity other than as specifically noted.
