Overview
When you have just purchased a new computer, installing and configuring it can take up a tremendous amount of time. The Repair Team can offer you a service that will install your computer for you, allowing you the time to get on with other things. To help you get the most from your new computer, we can install it in your home or instore. You can rest assured that all complex procedures of setting up your computer are taken care of.
When installing your equipment, The Repair Team will ensure that your products are fully tested and working satisfactorily. If required, your Internet account will be set-up for you with an approved Internet Provider.
What is included?
Unpacking, checking and installation of your new computer and other hardware purchased
Start-up of your PC and boot to the operating system
Connection of a printer, scanner etc
Installation of drivers and software for a printer and scanner
Set-up of an approved Internet account and configuration of the email client
Testing of computer and peripheral functions
A brief explanation of the computer’s functions and components
Available between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays)
Home Entertainment computers
We will aim to configure the following features of Windows Media Center, however, they do depend on the specification and location of the computer, Home Entertainment Equipment and of course the cables that you have available.
Connect the computer to a television UHF aerial feed
Connect the computer to a radio VHF/FM feed
Configure the computer to control your Sky/Cable/Freeview box (subject to compatibility)
Connect your computer to your television & hi-fi
Configure the Electronic Programme Guide
What is excluded?
Installation or configuration of software other than the operating system supplied
Network cables or other cabling requirements
Transfer of data from other computers or installation of additional software packages
Extensive training on the new computers
Removal of packaging
Installation of any upgrades
The customer must provide their own ISP and telephony infrastructure
Hardware failures
Application software support
ISP connectivity problems
